Springwater Print Solutions Win Large Rolling Contract

High Wycombe based Springwater Print Solutions were recently awarded a contract to supply the National Guild of Removers and Storers (NGRS) with their entire print requirement on an ongoing basis. This includes printing and distributing over 100,000 member packs involving over 1.1 million collations annually.

Managing Director, Martin Wyvill commented:
‘We worked tirelessly for over 10 months to win this account. We showed NGRS our commitment to the highest levels of service and quality and now supply them with a superior product at a more competitive price. NGRS are delighted with the overall package we offer them’.

Paul Huntley Takes the Chair

Handy Croissant is pleased to announce that Paul Huntley of Chesham Insurance has become the new (and youngest ever) Chairman of the group. Paul took over from 'old timer' Michael Edwards in August this year and paid tribute to the achievements during his chairmanship over the past year - during which Handy Croissant reached a record number of members since it’s foundation in 2001. Michael remains a key member of the group and maintains his official position of Treasurer (along with his unofficial position of group comedian!).

We all thank Paul for accepting this challenging role and wish him all the best during the months to come.

" I have been working in the town for years and it is a thrill to have a studio in the model village"

A photographer has just opened a new studio in town, but customers hoping for a portrait might have trouble getting through the front door. The Trewimage building is among the latest businesses to line the streets of Bekonscot model village and railway.

His business has been a fixture in Beaconsfield for 22 years. Aside from portraits, weddings and corporate work, Mr Trew has organised Masterclasses for beginners or more experienced who are struggling with digital equipment. He said he enjoys the experience of helping people transform their snaps into little works of art.

Local agent takes online action against airport delays

High Wycombe based travel agent Michael Edwards has taken further action against airport delays with the launch of the UK’s first website that allows passengers to post information and feedback about delays they have encountered.

Michael Edwards is from independent travel company, Travel Counsellors, who are leading the campaign to make UK authorities take action and have launched the site in a further bid to force airports to cut unfair and unnecessary delays. This innovative website allows customers to post specific information about waiting times at UK airports, including the latest news on check-in times, security and immigration, plus any additional feedback and comments for other passengers to view.

“This website encourages passengers to pinpoint exactly when, where and for how long they have been delayed while waiting for flights in UK airports,” says Michael who is one of over 800 home-based Travel Counsellors from the Queen’s Award winning company. “This is a major issue within the travel industry at present and these results will help us to form a body of evidence, showing that UK authorities need to take serious action.”

Michael, who has over 35 years experience within the travel industry, has already been appealing to the local government and community for their support on this issue. Although supporting the introduction of more stringent security measures at UK airports for customer safety, he has brought to the forefront the fact that current lengthy queues and delays, created by poor processes and insufficient staff numbers, are unacceptable for customers.

Travel Counsellors will use the evidence taken from the website to further highlight the severity of the problem, enabling them to lobby the government on the need to make airports take responsibility and tackle the delays. The site is also an effective source of information for any passengers travelling through UK airports to find out about delays.

Travel Counsellors founder and chairman, David Speakman, a travel industry leader and innovator, has also offered his services to airports free of charge to help them assess how they implement security.

Michael adds; “If you are a passenger who has suffered at the hands of airport delays this is a unique chance to have your say. The more feedback and support we can gain the more we can really make a difference.”
